Cytonome Hires World-Renowned Biological Scientist

 

Boston, MA, September 25, 2005 - Cytonome, Inc., developer of the clinical-grade, Gigasort™ optical cell sorter, today announced that Dr. Lydia Villa-Komaroff has been appointed Chief Scientific Officer at Cytonome.
 
During her 20 year research career, Dr. Villa-Komaroff has held scientific positions at MIT, Harvard University, University of Massachusetts Medical School and Harvard Medical School.  As a science administrator, she was held senior posts including VP for Research at Northwestern University in Chicago along with Vice President for Research & Chief Operating Officer of Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research in Cambridge, MA.  She also chaired the Board of Directors of Transkaryotic Therapies.
