Alan J. Dworsky is the principal of Mt. Auburn Management, an equity money management firm he founded in 1984 serving institutional clients. Mr. Dworsky was previously at the Putnam Companies for seventeen years as an analyst, portfolio manager and member of the investment committee. Mr. Dworsky has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University, a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School and serves as a member of the board of directors of several private companies.

Lydia Villa-Komaroff is the Chief Executive Officer at Cytonome. During her 20 year research career, Dr. Villa-Komaroff has held positions at MIT, Harvard University, University of Massachusetts Medical School and Harvard Medical School. As a science administrator, she has been VP for Research at Northwestern University in Illinois and the Vice President for Research and Chief Operating Officer of Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research in Cambridge, MA. She also served as Chair of the Board of Directors of Transkaryotic Therapies.

Michael Jamiolkowski is co-founder, President, and CEO of Coventor, Inc., a leading MEMS company and the parent company of Cytonome. In 1985, he co-founded Integrated Silicon Systems, Inc., a developer of IC CAD software. At ISS, he was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. ISS went public in 1994, and later merged with Arcsys to form Avant!.

Dr. Walter Gilbert has had over twenty years of experience in the biotechnology industry as a successful entrepreneur, both as a founder of new companies and as a senior executive. He is a renowned scientist who was awarded the 1980 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his discovery of a method for rapid DNA sequencing. His forty year academic career at Harvard University was marked by many discoveries, including messenger RNA, genetic repressors, DNA sequencing, and the first expression of insulin in bacteria. In 1978 Dr. Gilbert co-founded Biogen, the world’s oldest independent biotechnology company. He served as Chair of the Scientific Board of Directors from 1978 to 1983, Co-Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Directors from 1979 to 1981, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Directors from 1981 to 1985, and Chief Executive Officer from 1981 to 1985. As CEO, Dr. Gilbert oversaw the company’s Initial Public Offering in 1983 and played a key role in the development of several key products, including alpha interferon, beta interferon, and hepatitis B vaccine.
In 1992, Dr. Gilbert co-founded Myriad Genetics and continues to serve as its Vice-Chairman. In 1996, Dr. Gilbert co-founded Paratek Pharmaceuticals and has served as Chairman since its inception. He co-founded Memory Pharmaceuticals and continues to serve as Director and Scientific Advisory Board Member. He co-founded Pintex Pharmaceuticals and serves as its Chairman. He is also a director of Transkaryotic Therapies.
In 1991 Dr. Gilbert received the New England Entrepreneur of the Year award from the Institute of American Entrepreneurs. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, a Foreign Member of the Royal Society, and a recipient of numerous other awards and honorary degrees for his work in molecular biology. He has more than 150 scientific articles to his name.
Dr. Gilbert earned an A.B. in Chemistry and Physics (summa cum laude) from Harvard College, an M.A. in Physics from Harvard University, and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Cambridge University.
